A prompt is not a product. A good answer is not yet a working tool
Why an impressive model response cannot replace interface design, testing, error handling and responsibility for the result.
- prompt engineering
- AI product
- testing

The concrete detail comes first, the conclusion second. Below we show the reasoning, its limits and what this story can genuinely add to your own work.
A strong prompt can make an excellent first impression. A product must make an excellent hundredth impression, including when a file is broken, an input is unexpected or the service takes thirty seconds to respond.
A demo chooses a friendly case
In a demonstration, the author knows the data and expected outcome. A product must validate input, handle failures, protect privacy, preserve state and explain what the system actually did.
The prompt is one component, just like a function in code. It is not the complete experience.
At Tech2u, “done” requires a working artefact, a tested user journey and evidence that the outcome can be reproduced. If a system works only inside its author’s conversation with a model, it remains a prototype. That can still be valuable — it simply deserves an honest label.
