How to review AI-generated video: seven checks before publishing
A practical AI video quality gate covering identity, flicker, physics, pacing, captions, sound and the final export.
IN THIS STORY
- AI video
- quality control
- editing

The concrete detail comes first, the conclusion second. Below we show the reasoning, its limits and what this story can genuinely add to your own work.
The most dangerous sentence in AI video production is: “it looks fine in the preview.” A proper review treats generated footage as production material, not as an impressive demo.
Seven quality gates
- Compare the identity of the subject and product at the beginning, middle and end.
- Inspect edges, textures and backgrounds for flicker or crawling detail.
- Check contact, weight and physical interaction instead of accepting merely smooth motion.
- Review framing and visual hierarchy on both desktop and mobile crops.
- Watch the complete edit for pacing, cuts and continuity.
- Verify captions, spoken words, music and sound effects independently.
- Decode and watch the exported file, then confirm resolution, duration, frame rate and audio.
A valid codec is not proof of a good film. Publication begins only after both technical and visual checks pass.
